By downloading, accessing, or using RITU, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use RITU.

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms apply to:

  • The RITU mobile app (iOS & Android)
  • The RITU website (getritiu.in)
  • All RITU services

If you do not accept these Terms, delete the app immediately and do not use RITU.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use RITU.

By creating an account, you confirm:

  • You are at least 18 years old in your country
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement

If you are under 18, you may not create a RITU account or use RITU. Parental/guardian consent does not make RITU appropriate for minors. If RITU discovers you are under 18, your account will be deleted and all your data permanently removed.

3. User Responsibilities

Account security:

  • Keep your password confidential
  • Do not share your account with others
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
  • RITU is not responsible for unauthorized access due to your negligence

Accurate information: provide truthful, accurate information; update it if it changes; take responsibility for information you log in RITU.

Lawful use: use RITU only for lawful purposes; do not violate any laws or regulations; do not use RITU to harm others.

4. Health Disclaimer

⚠️ RITU IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR MEDICAL ADVICE.

What RITU is:

  • A personal health tracking and education tool
  • Designed to help you log and understand your cycle
  • A companion app for cycle and PCOS/PCOD awareness

What RITU is NOT:

  • A medical device
  • A diagnostic tool
  • A treatment or cure for any condition
  • A substitute for professional medical advice
  • Approved by any health regulatory body

Important:

  1. RITU does not diagnose PCOS, PCOD, or any condition.
  2. The information in RITU is educational, not medical.
  3. You should NOT rely on RITU alone for health decisions.
  4. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional (doctor, gynecologist, endocrinologist) before starting any medication, changing your diet or exercise, or making any health decision based on RITU data.

Emergency: if you experience a medical emergency, seek immediate professional medical attention. Do not rely on RITU.

Accuracy: while we try to provide accurate health information, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all information in RITU. Medical science evolves, and information may change.

Use at your own risk: you use RITU at your own risk and assume all responsibility for any health decisions you make based on RITU.

5. Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer of warranties: RITU is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do NOT warrant that RITU will meet your needs, be error-free, be secure from cyber attacks, never lose data, or be available at all times.

Limitation of damages: in no event will RITU or its developers be liable for:

  • Health consequences: any health outcomes from using RITU, any illness or injury from following RITU's suggestions, any diagnosis you make based on RITU, or failure to diagnose a condition
  • Data loss: loss or corruption of your personal data, unauthorized access to your data (unless due to our negligence), or inability to recover deleted data
  • Service interruptions: downtime or unavailability of RITU, or loss of access to your data during downtime
  • Financial damages: RITU is provided at no cost; we are not liable for any financial losses

Maximum liability: even if we are found liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for RITU (which is $0 if you use the free tier). You use RITU at your own risk.

6. Intellectual Property

Ownership: all RITU code, design, and content is owned by RITU. Your use of RITU does not give you ownership of any RITU material.

License: you have a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use RITU. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works
  • Decompile or reverse-engineer RITU code
  • Sell or redistribute RITU
  • Use RITU for commercial purposes without written permission

Trademarks: "RITU" and the RITU logo are trademarks of RITU. You may not use these without written permission.

7. User Content & Rights

Your data: you own all the data you log in RITU (cycle logs, symptoms, etc.). We own the database and storage infrastructure.

Your rights:

  • Delete your data anytime
  • Export your data
  • Request data portability

Our rights:

  • We use anonymized data to improve RITU
  • We may use anonymized trends for research (with your consent)
  • We do not sell your personal data

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Violate laws: use RITU for any illegal purpose or violate any local, state, or national laws
  • Harm others: harass, bully, or threaten other users; share others' private information without consent; violate others' privacy
  • Misuse RITU: attempt to hack or gain unauthorized access; use automated scripts or bots; impersonate another person; spam; attempt to reverse-engineer or decompile RITU
  • Inappropriate content: share sexually explicit content, hate speech or discriminatory content, or violent or graphic content

Violation consequences: if you violate these Terms, RITU may suspend your account, delete your data, terminate your access permanently, or report you to law enforcement (if applicable).

9. Termination

You may terminate your account anytime by deleting it in Settings → Delete Account.

RITU may terminate your access if:

  • You violate these Terms & Conditions
  • You violate our Privacy Policy
  • You engage in prohibited conduct
  • We are required to by law

Upon termination: your access to RITU ends immediately, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days, and you must delete the app from your device.

10. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with RITU:

  1. First, contact us at contact@getritiu.in and try to resolve the issue within 30 days.
  2. If unresolved, you may pursue legal action in your country in accordance with applicable laws.
  3. You agree to pursue disputes individually, not as a class action.

Governing law: these Terms are governed by the laws of India and your local country's laws (whichever applies).

11. Changes to Terms

RITU may update these Terms at any time by:

  • Updating the "Last Updated" date
  • Posting the new Terms at getritiu.in/terms
  • For material changes, notifying users via email or in-app notice

Continued use of RITU after updates means you accept the new Terms.
